One Living Sanctuary

One Living Sanctuary is a non-profit animal sanctuary in the San Francisco Bay Area integrating environmentalism, animal advocacy and humanitarianism to create a collaborative path toward compassion for all beings.

Dr. Albright has been vegan since 2004 after visiting a farmed animal sanctuary and learning about the terrible conditions these animals face. At that time, she dedicated her life to ending their suffering and began the long road to founding her own sanctuary. Becoming a veterinarian and paying off her student loans were the first two steps in this process. She received a degree in evolution, ecology, and biodiversity from UC Davis, and her veterinary degree from the University of Illinois.

After working in private clinics and then as a shelter vet in San Francisco for several years, Faith wanted to visit pets and their people in a more personal and intimate setting, and started getting a lot of interest from clients in having a vet come to their home, particularly for difficult cases like euthanasia. She started her mobile practice in 2014 and has loved the deeper interactions with clients and the relatively relaxed demeanor of pets in their own home. She believes that every being should be allowed to pass surrounded by their loved ones, in the comfort and safety of their home.

In 2018, Dr. Albright realized her dream and founded One Living Sanctuary, now home to over 80 rescued farm animals happily living out the rest of their lives in peace. Her compassionate work as a home euthanasia vet directly supports the care, shelter and feeding of the sweet animals who call this sanctuary home, as well as donations from kind hearted animal lovers.
