Resources for Grieving

Losing a beloved pet is a deeply emotional experience that profoundly affects our well-being. Pets are integral family members, offering companionship and unconditional love and this can make their absence overwhelming. The pain of their loss, which can be often underestimated, can lead to feelings of sadness and isolation and even difficulty coping with daily life. Grieving may involve automatically searching for them around the house or experiencing waves of sadness triggered by reminders. Healing requires time, understanding, and permission to grieve and having support during this time can be a huge help. Finding closure might involve creating memorials or channeling grief into helping other animals. Ultimately, the trauma of losing a pet is a testament to the immense love and joy they brought into our lives, and with time, their memory can be carried in our hearts.

Are you experiencing grief from a recent loss - human or pet, the end of a relationship, losing a job or simply from living through these times?

Join us at One Living Sanctuary, April 18th from 10:00 - 11:30am for a Grief Circle; a safe container in which to hold your grief and a safe space to do some processing.

We’ll start with guided breathing & grounding, go over guidelines, then go around the circle where each person will have the opportunity for a timed share. Afterwards we’ll go around and share what works/helps and other resources, then finish with some closing thoughts.

This will be our second Grief Circle and we hope to continue hosting them.

Please Text 916-239-5161 to RSVP

Attendance is by donation to One Living Sanctuary, where the circle is held (suggested $20, sliding scale available to those who need it)
